Guys, Jesus is so so good!

The second week of training camp I have gone deeper in so many relationships, learned more about our Heavenly Father, and have learned the importance of time with him! In a few of the sessions I learned about listening to God. Specifically, one on John 10 talks about when sheep know their shepherds voice, and when he speaks they come to him. We are the sheep and God is our shepherd, and the more time with spend in the word we can better discern the voice of the father. I think this has been a beautiful picture for why I have been desiring to spend more time reading my Bible, so I can discern what it is Jesus wants for my life.

One of my favorite things we got to do this past week was my team having shifts throughout the night to spend time praying for an hour. It was a discipline I LOVED. We were able to pray for our team, the country, the hosts we will be meeting, safety, and the people we will come in contact with! This made me realize how much our Father delights in His children spending time with Him.

Another activity this week was where learned about the authority Jesus gives us on earth to proclaim his Gospel. We went out into the community around where we are staying for training, and we’re able to talk to strangers about the good news of Jesus. I was able to get dinner at Chick-fil-A and introduced myself to a mom and her child! I got to know her and the life situation they were in and I was given the pleasure to pray for them. In this I learned how our life is always a ministry, and how we can get so task oriented where we don’t see the opportunities to love those around us.

Currently as I write this blog post I am camped out in the Atlanta airport ready to arrive in Nicaragua tomorrow
