Hey! Thank you for checking out my blog! My name is faith and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. I am beyond excited for this opportunity to go on the World race! I would love to explain how the Lord has moved this year!

I heard about this organization when I was a freshman in college (four years ago) and was so intrigued by the idea of serving in different countries. However, I was going into nursing school and thought I could never go and that my job would never allow. Winter of my freshman year of college rolls around and I decided to sign up to go to Nicaragua on spring break to serve! I absolutely LOVED the trip, and learned so so much! I grew in my faith, my desire to serve, my heart for other countries, and my desire to share the Gospel any place I go!

Fast forward into spring semester of my senior year of nursing school, my desire to serve the Lord internationally only grew as I went through college. One day I had randomly come across information on the world race on my phone. I submitted a form requesting more information on the world race out of curiosity. Not too long after I received a phone call and had a conversation with someone from Adventures in Missions. I received a lot of information, grew in excitement, and ended the call really wanting to go on a mission trip. However, I still had the fear of never being able to go because of my career choice, money, and authority over me disagreeing with this desire. I thought this kind of opportunity would never happen for me.

Later that day a woman was praying over me and received a picture of me serving God in different countries, and asked me if I had a desire to serve internationally. Needless to say, I immediately began to cry because it felt like God was hearing and answering my prayers. This was not the first “God moment” I had that led me to the saying yes to go. There were many conversations with many people that followed, and a lot of fears I had to overcome. One conversation I had was with my unit manager about this opportunity and she is allowing me to go before I become a nurse! I am so thankful for my managers at Children’s Hospital being so supportive, and praise God for this opportunity presenting itself!

The Lord has brought me so far, and has taught me so so much this year. All of college I have been growing in my faith, leading Younglife, have been involved in bible studies, have been discipled, and so much more. I have been hungry to grow closer with Jesus, experience more of his presence, and to stretch myself in ways I never have before. I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for me serving internationally! Even more, I am beyond thankful for this opportunity. Jesus is so so good!!
