Hello! I have been in Costa Rica the past week and it has been so so good. The day we arrived we were able to learn more about the ministry we are working with!

We are currently building a home for a program of mothers and pregnant women who are recovering from addiction! This will be a place where these women can live as they go through this program where they recover from addiction, and learn more about the love of the Father. Through this they will be able to learn different life skills, grow in community, and fall more in love with Jesus.

While we help build this facility, we are working along side men who have gone through or are currently going through the program! It has been so fun to work alongside brothers in Christ and learn more of their stories. They all come from hard backgrounds, and have battled the world in different ways. Yet, their stories show redemption that the Lord offers, and the abundant love He freely gives.

We have, also, been helping with an organization called The Nest. This is an organization that brings children from abusive homes and provides parenting figures to help raise them. We have helped them move lots of supplies to aid in the house building process. We have been working very hard physically, and I am currently lacking energy… However, my spirit has been abundantly filled up from the Lord, what our end goal is, and the people we get to work alongside.

As I have been here, I have been wresting with why God has allowed certain things in my life to happen. I have been processing some hard emotions, and hurt. But the Lord has been reminding me of His love, and that I have a choice on how I look at life. We can either live in our past, or choose to fight to believe that God’s mercies are new every morning. We have the choice to dwell on what’s happened to us or what we have done, or we can sit in what is currently happening. We can sit in how God is moving now. Maybe what HAS happened has lead you to the moment you are MEANT to be living in currently.

Our God does not make mistakes. He uses everything. He uses every failure and every hurt.
